I recently was given the opportunity to review the book Beatrice Munson for free in exchange for my 100% honest and unbiased opinion on their product.
This is what I knew about the book before I read it It is an uplifting story about women who have found that their world has become small and their happiness and importance is not at the forefront of how they live. It is a story with humor, fun, love, friendship, and lots of interesting twists and turns. It is a story of women who have become like their suburban homes, varying shades of beige. Then Beatrice Munson moves in and shakes them up. A great story of friendship, love and deciding to make yourself happy
The book Beatrice Munson that I had the pleasure of reading is written by Lorena Bathey who in my opinion has written this book very well. I loved how she makes the reader feel like they could be sitting right there listening to all the wonderful women in the book.
When I first started reading the book I thought ok this is gonna be pretty boring all about the lives of suburban women and how boring their lives had become but boy was I wrong. After about the 3rd chapter in I found myself getting very involved in the book and wanting to keep on reading to find out what was gonna happen next.
What I also found so good to was the name of each chapter and how they really did tell you a little bit about what you were gonna be reading but all without fully giving that chapter away. Lorena Bathey has written the book to where the reader does not feel like they have to ask them selves "What the heck is going on?" I never felt this way in fact I felt very involved in the story as if you could be watching a movie instead of reading a book.
The main character Beatrice Munson was the perfect addition to the mundane lives of these suburban womens lives. I think we all need a Beatrice Munson in our lives. By the fifth chapter I found myself wanting to keep on reading because I was getting so involved in the book. The second day that I read the book before I realized it I had already read about 7 chapters. I also think that you can find yourself relating to at least on of the ladies in the book as I did.
The third day I actually had time to sit down and read some more I was excited too. Before I realized it I had finished the book and it was 3:30 in the morning. I thought holy crap I am gonna be tired in the morning but it was so worth it to me.
While reading the book I found myself intrigued, laughing, and tearing up. I also loved how the book delved into what friendship, love, marriage and how these women handle all the different situations put out in front of them. At the end of the book my husband had to ask me what was wrong because I actually had tears coming down my face. I also love how the book makes you want to be like some of the ladies and follow your own dreams too. Beatrice Munson is definitely a book I would and will recommend to every woman to read for themselves. This is for sure a book that I will be purchasing to gift to my mother for her birthday as I know that she will enjoy it as much as I did.
Lorena Bathey has also written many other books too. If you would love to find out more about what other book she has written you can do so by clicking

The author Lorena Bathey:
(info about the author found on her website)
My name is Lorena Bathey and I became a writer late in life, however, I've always been a fan of the written word. Starting from the time I would devour historical romances as a kid to becoming an English major in college, words have been a place of refuge for me.
The first book I wrote was Happy Beginnings, which is a hysterical memoir of my journey to find myself after my world fell apart. I had just lost my mother to cancer and then my husband divorced me, and somehow these horrible circumstances pushed me to change and inspired me to become more. The book is a memoir for women who have gone through loss, grief, or simply lost their way and need to know they are not alone.
After Happy Beginnings I found characters were in my head telling me a story so I started writing it down. That's how Beatrice Munson was born. As soon as I finished Beatrice's story another idea came, and another, until I now have over nine novels in my writing queue and I found myself a novelist.
How do I write these books? Simple, I write what I hear and see in my head. I write because there are stories to be told and people who want to read them. I write for the simple joy of the craft.
Hopefully you'll find a nugget of truth or a kernel of lesson in these books that will keep you coming back for more.
