NestFresh Eggs Review

I recently was given the opportunity to review NestFresh Cage Free Eggs  for free in exchange for my 100% honest and unbiased opinion on their product.

For me as a parent I sometimes worry about the kind of food I purchase for my family. Like what has been added to it?, Where did it come from? and the big question for me is it healthy? So with those questions in mind when I was given the chance to review eggs from NestFresh I was excited yet weary a little bit too.

You know sometimes when a product says that they are healthy and good for you does not always mean that it taste good either. Well I do have to say that my family loves NestFresh Eggs and only wants me to buy these from now on.

Now I know you probably have to be asking well seriously eggs are eggs right?, but I have to say to know that these eggs are cage free, Non_GMO free range, chemical free and are pasture raised. We can actually tell the taste difference between the NestFresh Eggs and ones we have purchased in the past. My 9 year old is actually the one who ate most of them and tells everyone how great they are.

The Egg on the left is a normal egg and the one one the right is the NestFresh egg.

In the picture below you can actually see the color difference in the egg whites.

For me as a baker I have loved using the NestFresh eggs and I have noticed that my baked good comes out better too. My 9 year old has actually begged me to buy more NestFresh eggs when I go grocery shopping the next time.

Here is a funny little story that I want to tell you about. When I first go these eggs at the store it reminded me of a situation from when I was a kid. When I was in six grade I entered into a cake decorating contest and when I was getting ready to make the cake my parents had run out of eggs so I had to borrow some eggs from a neighbor and when I got them I brought them back home and told my parents I cant use these. My mom asked me why and I said well because the box says to use 3 large white eggs and these eggs are brown. My mom and dad started to laugh at me. I asked them why are you laughing at me and they said there is nothing wrong with the eggs its just that they dont do anything to the eggs or chickens to make the eggs white they are naturally like that. I thought oh ok.

NestFresh Mission

NestFresh strives to provide you and your family with a more sustainable, humane alternative to conventional eggs, which are produced in caged facilities. We insist on producing cage free and organic eggs to create awareness about the need for humane treatment of egg laying hens and the importance of environmental responsibility.

Their Story

NestFresh began in 1991 when a family from Colorado wanted to create a company that reflected its views on animal welfare and sustainability. NestFresh was built upon the principle that when businesses do the right thing we all benefit, from hens to humans. We are proud that these fundamentals are still the basis of our business to this day.

eggsinhandIn our early years we serviced the Colorado area exclusively with our locally produced and packaged eggs. NestFresh Eggs quickly became Colorado’s favorite; thus we set out to make it possible for others across the country to enjoy the great taste of NestFresh cage free and organic eggs. As advocates of locally produced products, we were faced with the dilemma of how to provide humane products nationally without increasing our environmental impact by shipping eggs across the country. It was clear that the most environmentally responsible solution was to source eggs from regional farms.

Today we use regional, family owned farms so that we can supply farm fresh NestFresh cage free eggs in the most sustainable manner possible. Each of these farms are certified cage free by third party auditors committed to farm animal welfare to guarantee that they meet our strict standards of quality and humane animal treatment. NestFresh is proud to provide you with eggs that satisfy your conscience and your hunger.

  7. I used to raise my own chicken but recently had to move so now my siblings are takin care of the chickens. I saw Nest Fresh Eggs and wanted to give them a try. I have had other store bought eggs that met my criteria. Unfortunately, I noticed the Nest Fresh Eggs' shells are too thin and out of the dozen I bought 7 had small vein like cracks on the shells. Mybfear os salmonella ment Inhad to throw those eggs away. The ones that made it to the frying pan will break easily. I know from years of raising chickens that thin shells could mean various things...lack of calcium in their feed, young and or old hens, sick hens, stressed out hens. So, nope would not be buying those eggs again.
