Steri Shoe Review

I recently was given the opportunity to review Steri Shoe  for free in exchange for my 100% honest and unbiased opinion on their product.

SteriShoe recently contacted me to work with them to review the SteriShoe Ultraviolet Shoe Sanitizer. When they first told me what it does I was so excited to try it out and see how it worked because sometimes my husbands shoes can smell. Over the years I have spent so much money on all kinds of powders, sprays and shoe insert to help with the problem. To me all those things just seem to mask it not really  solve the problems at all.

I will be honest when I first received the SteriShoe I really liked how it looked but I thought ok really how can something like this actually do what it says it is suppose to. So with some hesitation I decided to give a try on a pair of  his sneakers. The instructions are so easy to understand and it is so easy to use too. SteriShoe fit so snugly into the shoe too, it can be used in every shoe to. When I say every shoe I mean every shoe because it comes with a strap to be used on sandals too.

 Use the SteriShoe

shoe sanitizer only as directed.

1. Plug the power supply into a standard wall outlet (AC 100-240V).

2. Plug one power cord into each SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer.

3. Insert the right SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer into a right shoe and the left SteriShoe® shoe 

sanitizer  into a left shoe.

4. Place each SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer and shoe into the provided SteriShoe® branded

shoe bag.

5. Close each shoe bag drawstring.

6. Press each on/off button to begin treating your shoes.

7. If the on/off button is glowing solid purple, the SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer is treating the 

shoe and will turn off after approximately 45 minutes. DO NOT remove the shoe bag while 

the SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer is treating a shoe.

8. Once the treatment process is complete, the on/off light will no longer be illuminated 

and it will be safe to remove the SteriShoe® shoe sanitizer from a shoe.

The SteriShoe sanitizer destroys microorganisms in shoes with its germicidal UVC lamp. UVC has been used as a germicide for decades in hospitals and water treatment systems. We often hear about UVA and UVB; this is the wavelength of light that gives us suntans and sunburns. UVC is completely filtered by our atmosphere and that is why we do not hear about it often. However, within scientific communities and medical communities, UVC's ability to destroy microorganisms is well known and established.

UVC works when microorganisms are directly exposed to UVC light. Plastic blocks UVC from reaching the microorganism. Unlike an "As Seen On TV" product that claims to use UV inside a shoe, the SteriShoe sanitizer's UVC light effectively treats the inside of a shoe because it is not blocked by plastic. 

 I have already used the SteriShoe so many time that I can honestly say that this product is worth every penny of the price of $129.95. Now I know probably to some of  you are thinking WOW that is expensive, but you seriously think about what you have spent on all the products for your shoes to help with smells, sweats and odor absorbing this products is well worth it.
