Newmans Owns Organic Review

I recently was given the opportunity to review Newman's Own Organics  for free in exchange for my 100% honest and unbiased opinion on their product.

I was recently sent some of Newman's Own Organics products to review and I have to say that I am in love with their products and how they are made, also what they stand for too. What I believe they stand for is Healthy food for healthy snacking.

I know that before receiving Newman's Own Organics I had heard of Newman's before. To know that there is a trusted company out there that has come out with products that are healthy for my family is truly awesome. The original Newman's Own products have been around since 1982 and in 1993 The Newman's Own Organic products were created.

Here is some information on how the Newman's Own Organic products came to be.

When Nell Newman and business partner Peter Meehan started Newman’s Own®
Organics: The Second Generation® in 1993, they were sure there was a market for organic snack
foods, but they couldn’t have anticipated just how fast the demand for their products would grow.
What started with pretzels and grew to include other snack foods has now expanded to many other organic items: coffee, tea, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, organic dried fruit, and pet food. The partners anticipate adding a number of new items each year in all these areas.
Nell approached her father in 1992 about the possibility of an organic division. He offered to cover one year’s expenses for Nell and Peter to determine the feasibility of an organic product line under the Newman name. The one stipulation was that, once established, they would return the seed money, so that it could be added to his charity money. They not only managed to do this within a short period of time, but also became an independent company in early 2001. This had been the goal from the beginning. They are committed to following the philanthropic role of Paul Newman and bringing out products that he would be proud to have his name associated with.

Some information on Organic Products:

DEFINITION
Organic agriculture is a holistic system with the primary goal of optimizing the health and productivity of interdependent communities of soil life, plants, animals, and people. Management practices are carefully selected with an intent to restore and then maintain ecological harmony on the farm, its surrounding environment and ultimately the whole planetary ecosystem.

Here are some of the fantastic products that Newman's Own Organic company was gracious enough to send my way to try:

In all of the products shown above we tried the Berry Blend which my husband and daughter truly loved. They would eat it as is or add it their yogurt's. The Ginger my oldest daughter ended up snatching from me for her stomach and she said that out of all ginger she has tried before these ones did not upset her tummy at all. My whole family absolutely devoured the chocolate, that did not last more then a couple of days in my home.

My youngest daughter and all of her friends broke into the licorice and cookies one day when I was not home. When I came home to find all the packages of the licorice empty and all the cookies opened up I asked what happened to the packages. All the kids just looked at me like they were in trouble but they were not LOL. I was so happy to see that they had actually chosen organic healthy snacks while I was gone instead of junk to eat. So I asked them what they like about the snacks that they had and they told me well honestly Mom their cookies thats why. They all made me laugh.

My ultimate favorite of all of the snacks they sent to me would have to be the pretzels especially the High Protein ones. They were so light and airy too.

The rest of the products we have not personally tried at all but I though I would show you some items that they also make too.

COMPANY
Newman's Own Organics was established as a division of Newman's Own in 1993, and became a separate company in late 2001. The sale of Newman's Own Organics products generates money for the Newman's Own Foundation to give away. Since 1982 Paul Newman and the Newman's Own Foundation have donated more than $350 million dollars to educational and charitable organizations worldwide.

Here is a way to get your family to eat yummy, healthy snack by a known and trusted company.

  2. I didn't know that Newman's Own had so much to offer. I always see the cookies in the store, but never really paid much attention to the other things. Thanks so much for sharing. Can't wait to get some new things to try on my next grocery trip.
